He began writing as a way to process the weight of that calling and has since developed a passion for telling stories about ordinary characters God calls, empowers, and equips to do extraordinary things (Romans 8:30; Acts 1:8; 2 Timothy 1:7; 2 Thessalonians 3:3).

A former School Resource Officer, Ben has spoken at hundreds of events, including school assemblies, panels, and university lectures, where he has had the opportunity to mentor and engage directly with the age group he now writes for.

Ben holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Loyola University Chicago and is a member of the Jerry Jenkins Writers Guild. He lives in the Chicago suburbs with his wife and three daughters. When he’s not writing, Ben enjoys handcrafting espresso drinks, exploring story-driven video games, and bringing a suspicious level of tactics to Nerf battles with his kids.
